Gladys Rowe
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Tansi, I’m excited to bring together a team of gifted people to lead work that inspires change! I take an interdisciplinary approach to my work and love to hold space for sharing, critical reflection, expression, insights, and knowledge mobilization through storytelling and arts including using photography, photo elicitation, film, collage, painting, clay, and podcasting.
In addition to this work and the podcast I love so many things like reading, pottery, cooking, baking, and kayaking! -

Amanda Burton
SENIOR LEAD
Hello! My name is Amanda Dawne Burton and I am a queer Red River Métis woman from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology, as well as a Masters Degree in Social Work. I have been working in social services for almost 25 years (Indigenous child welfare and youth work), and have extensive experience in Indigenous curriculum development, research, and evaluation. I am honored to be part of this collective, and to be able to share my gifts in a creative, collaborative, and wholistic way that helps move us toward a brighter future. A few things I love: my kids, pets, yoga, reading, art of all kinds, and houseplants.

Hello, I’m Taylor, an Ojibwe, Cree, and Filipino woman from Fisher River Cree Nation in Treaty 5 territory. I am a PhD student in Public Health at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, focusing on Indigenous food sovereignty principles for health and wellbeing programming for Indigenous communities, particularly in diabetes prevention and intervention. With experience in community-based research and program evaluation, I apply anti-colonial frameworks, ethics, and Indigenous health approaches to advance self-determined research and well-being.

Paisley Worthington
RESEARCH LEAD
Hi there! I am passionate about making the world a more equitable place and am thrilled to be part of the Indigenous Insights team. There are so many parts of this work that I love, and I often find myself contributing my skills in graphic design, analysis, and systems organization. My favourite thing about working in evaluation is the opportunity to learn about amazing initiatives that exist, and to practice diverse methods of engaging with each other and with information. At home, I relax by cuddling my pets, doing artistic projects, and cooking up a storm!

Lana Klok
COLLABORATOR
DESIGNER FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
Hi! I'm Lana, a Dutch design-researcher, now lucky to live in the Coastal Mountains of Turtle Island (Canada). My passion lies in facilitation, co-creation and visualization to empower community thinking and collective doing. I believe images and imagination are a universal language, and see design as a tool to connect. Through my collaborations in the public domain, non-profit and social sector, and with Indigenous Insights Collective, I hope to shift systems. One step at a time. Check out more of my work at lanaklok.com.
