Guiding Values: How I Show Up in My Work

Welcome to the heart of my professional journey - these guiding values are beacons for how I show up in my partnerships. These values are more than just words; they are the essence of how I engage, collaborate, and build relationships. They guide me in ensuring my work is always rooted in integrity, respect, and genuine commitment. By grounding my work in these five values, I hope to create a space where stories can be shared, knowledge can be exchanged, and deeper understandings can be forged.

Relational Accountability

Emphasizing the interconnectedness of all things, my approach to engagement prioritizes relationships. This means taking responsibility for how actions impact those relationships, ensuring that trust, understanding, and mutual respect are maintained throughout the collaboration and beyond.

Reciprocity

Rooted deeply in the principle of give-and-take, my work acknowledges the mutual exchange of knowledge and insight. By prioritizing reciprocity, I work to ensure that the benefits of partnerships are shared equitably, honouring contributions and ensuring perspectives are valued.

Respect

Respect is foundational to how I engage and relate within my collaborations. From honouring Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing, to recognizing the value of each contributor’s perspective, I approach every aspect of my work with deep respect for all involved.

Humility

My partnership and collaboration processes are a journey of continuous learning and reflection. I recognize that I am part of something much larger and acknowledge the contributions of those who came before me, I approach your work with humility, always open to learning and growth.

Love

Woven throughout how I show up is the theme of love: love for community, love for knowledge, and love for the process of discovery and transformation. This love drives my commitment to doing work that honours and centers Indigenous experiences, perspectives, values, and traditions.
